Ok (but can be better)

I removed upper seatpost collar @ swapped out quick release (bolt on is better = easy open lift up) ___ as per other complaints ***seatpost ALIGNMENT*** is an annoying ball bearing w/channel (harder to adjust and grease both tubes = easily removed when lifting up the collar) @ the alignment and "stop" should be built into the actual collar itself = I marred the original seatpost twisting it off just to grease the inner/outer posts (then removing bearing upon visual) ___ even local bike dealership was unaware on their floor model (I had to warn them about the unforeseeable damage "not to twist" when adjusting height = the indentation channel should be contrasting-painted vertical line)

Annoying ball bearing is always binding up

I don't know why they thought it was a good idea to put a ball bearing in the quick-release clamp between the two sections. It fits into a channel in the upper part of the seatpost to "prevent" rotation, I guess. That is unless you hit bumps or something and it digs into the sides of the channel anyway and so it becomes almost impossible to adjust the seat height because they didn't bother with a quick-release on the bottom. The really annoying part of it is I'm at this page to buy another one so my wife can have her preferred seat and I mine. Of course, you can't remove the upper seatpost from the bottom anyway (well, you *can* but you're not supposed to), so I guess it doesn't matter if it's stuck.
